An Eight-Mile Saguaro Loop Where the Motor Takes the Hills
A guided pedal-assist ride through the cactus forest east of Tucson, on the paved loop drive that runs through it.
East of Tucson the saguaros stop being scenery and turn into a forest. A paved loop runs through the middle of it, and Tucson E-Bike Adventures takes small groups around that loop on pedal-assist bikes.
The ride covers eight paved miles and the tour itself runs 150 minutes. A guide stays with the group the whole way. The bikes are Pedego, and the battery, the helmet and the bike are all part of the booking.

A guide rides with a group of no more than eight. Your park entry is inside the price, and an annual pass you already hold earns nothing back. Water and a tip for the guide are the two things the listing does not cover.

The loop is paved end to end, and it winds up and down. The park's own description of the road is blunt: narrow, with multiple tight turns and steep hills. That is the part people underestimate on a standard bike.
Pedal assist takes the climbs off the list of things you have to plan around, which is what keeps eight miles inside a 150-minute window. Cars, bicycles and walkers all use the same pavement, and one stretch runs one way only. There is a stop at the visitor center on the way out.
The Listing Is Blunt About Who Should Not Book

Riders have to be 16 or older to operate one of these bikes. The operator sets the ceiling at 260 pounds and six foot five and writes that anyone past it will not fit the bikes safely. The booking listing adds a floor of 110 pounds and five foot one.
The operator is blunt about the rest: this is not a tour for beginners, or for anyone who has not been on a bike in ten years or more. Moderate fitness is the stated expectation. Electric or not, eight miles is still eight miles.
Departure Times Move With the Heat
The booking calendar shifts the start time through the year. Through the first week of October the only departure is 9:00 AM. From mid-October into March most weeks carry two, at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. By the middle of April the calendar is down to 8:30 AM.
Departures run Monday through Friday, and the calendar currently ends in the middle of May with nothing listed over the summer. The park spells out why: through the hot months it tells visitors to keep activity to before 10 in the morning or after 4 in the afternoon, and it tells cyclists to start early and stay out of the middle of the day. Anyone planning a June visit to Tucson should treat this as a cool-season ride.
The Meeting Point Is a Restaurant Across From the Gate
Saguaro Corners sits at 3750 South Old Spanish Trail, on the corner of Escalante Road. The operator's listing places it directly across from the park entrance, riders leave their cars in that lot, and the check-in kiosk is signposted inside it.
The booking listing asks everyone to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before departure, for a safety briefing and a walkthrough of the bikes. That half hour sits on top of the 150 minutes, and anyone who has never ridden an e-bike gets it to practise in the lot before the group rolls out.
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund. The operator also runs on a four-rider minimum, so a thinly booked weekday slot can be moved or called off. Fill a bottle at the visitor center stop, because the park says there is no drinking water anywhere on the loop drive itself. Closed-toe shoes and clothes for the weather you are actually getting round out the list. The loop ends back in the lot it started in, with the restaurant you parked at a few steps away and most of the day still ahead of you.
