An Austin November Week, from Bolm Road to Burleson Road

Six Austin dates from Nov 12 to 21: a play-in-progress workshop on Bolm Road, two electronic nights at the Concourse Project, a free studio tour, Amble at Emo's, and a metal dance night on Fruth Street.

Start with the Bolm Road workshop.

🗓️ Six Dates Across Two Weekends

Austin's mid-November run opens quietly on Bolm Road: Our Our Town at CRASHBOX on Thursday at 8 pm is an early workshop staging of a play still being written, and the audience is asked to give feedback to the people making it. Friday shifts to Burleson Road, where Seismic Dance Event takes over the Concourse Project from 4 pm with house and techno DJs and an 18+ door. Saturday morning is free: Hive Mind Studios opens more than 4,000 square feet on Nuckols Crossing Road from 11 am for the Austin Studio Tour, with artists showing and selling, live music and on-site activations. The calendar below is the direct order: one theatre night, one festival, one free morning, then a four-day gap that only two nights fill. Amble plays Emo's on East Riverside Drive on Tuesday at 7 pm with Vincent Lima supporting; Kaskade returns to the Concourse Project outdoors on Friday at 8 pm; and House Of Heavy closes on Fruth Street at 8 pm on Saturday with a metal dance night of nu metal, alt metal and metalcore. Two of the six dates share one address on Burleson Road, so if you want one room and one crowd, take those two; if you want range, the week gives you five different rooms in ten days.

🎭 From a Play Being Written to a Metal Floor

The week is built to move you between kinds of attention. Thursday at CRASHBOX asks for the most: the play is unfinished, the staging is early, and the point of the evening is the conversation afterwards, which is why it sits alone on the calendar rather than next to a late set. Seismic the next afternoon is the opposite deal, a long festival block from 4 pm with an 18+ door, so the earlier you arrive the more of the bill you see. Saturday morning resets the pace: a free studio tour on Nuckols Crossing Road, no ticket, no fixed run time, and an easy place to start if you are unsure about the rest. The four-day gap after that is the honest shape of the month here: the week thins out, then ends with two heavy nights. Amble at Emo's is the only midweek rock show, Kaskade's outdoor set is the only date that returns to the Concourse Project after the festival, and House Of Heavy is the only night with a floor culture of its own. If you take two, take the free Saturday morning and the Saturday metal night, one costs nothing and the other is the only bookend the week has.
