🎭 An Arts Community in a Historic Mansion

The Players brings the arts into a Gilded Age mansion on Gramercy Park, setting a historic backdrop for the club and its creative gatherings. At 16 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan, it operates as a private members club, rather than a public attraction for anyone passing through the neighborhood.

The club traces its beginnings to the legendary actor Edwin Booth, who founded it in 1888. Its membership draws from the worlds of stage and screen, visual arts, music, and literature, bringing creative professionals together with the patrons who support them. Members gather for exclusive events as well as relaxed socializing, with the emphasis on celebrating the richness of that shared creative community.

Opening hours run Monday from 10 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to midnight, and Saturday from 5 PM to midnight, with Sunday closed.
