Chicago Athletic Association Game Room, Then Up to the Roof
Rack a game in a century-old Chicago club's Game Room, no room required, then ride up to the glass-roofed rooftop above the park.
🎱 Pool Table, Then the Roof
The club's original billiards room, Game Room, sits on the second floor of the 1893 Chicago Athletic Association building. No room booking and no ticket: it is walk-in only and open to the public. Pool, shuffleboard and skee-ball share the room with a bar, and tables cannot be reserved.
Cindy's sits on the 13th floor, looking over Millennium Park to Lake Michigan. All regular dining tables are inside the glass atrium, which keeps the dining room open in every season. The terrace stays accessible all year, with fire pits in winter, while terrace seating and the outdoor bar open as weather allows.
Game Room runs 1 PM to 11 PM Monday to Thursday, 11 AM to 1 AM Friday and Saturday, and 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday. Cindy's opens at 11 AM Monday to Friday and 10 AM on weekends, closes at 11 PM Sunday to Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday, and shuts the terrace at 11 PM. Book the atrium up to 14 days ahead through OpenTable; walk-ins take a table as capacity allows. Both stops share 12 S Michigan Avenue, four minutes on foot from Washington/Wabash. Hours and reservations: Game Room (https://www.gameroomchi.com/) and Cindy's (https://cindysrooftop.com/), checked 10/29.
