Description

This program brings together four distinct choreographic visions, ranging from the technical precision of Balanchine’s neoclassical Apollo set to Stravinsky to the contemporary energy of Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room, accompanied by Philip Glass’s score. The evening also features Jiří Kylián’s intimate Nuages, performed to Debussy’s music. A focal point of the bill is the world premiere pas de deux choreographed by James Whiteside, specifically created for dancers Herman Cornejo and Skylar Brandt.
