Aladdin at the New Amsterdam, Seat Revealed on Show Day

Disney's musical in a restored 1903 landmark house, with the ticket handed over in person beside the box office.

Catch Aladdin at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Booking a Broadway show usually means picking a square on a seating chart. This listing removes that step. You choose the performance date, and the row gets settled later by the person who hands over the ticket at the theatre.

The pool runs across orchestra, mezzanine, balcony, and seats sold as partial view. You learn which one you have on the day you walk in.

Mint2Tours runs this listing, and the handover happens in person beside the theatre box office on the day of the performance. Booking closes at 10:00 AM the day before.

Which Level You Land On

The New Amsterdam stacks its audience over three levels, with carved boxes hanging along both side walls and an orchestra floor that runs back under the mezzanine. Elevators reach every level.

Steps are the variable a random assignment does not control for. The designated wheelchair and companion places at the rear of the orchestra and the mezzanine are the only seats in the house that involve no steps. Everything else means stairs at some point between the lobby and the seat.

Distance cuts both ways in this house. Disney counts 18 scenes, more than 150 moving lights, over 100 automated scenic effects and 20 tons of scenery flown above the stage, all of which a seat further back takes in whole. The detail runs the other direction: 337 costumes, 108 changes completed in under a minute, and 1,428 Swarovski crystals on one pair of men's trousers in the "Friend Like Me" finale. A random draw hands you one side of that trade.

Art Nouveau, Peacocks, and a 1903 Stage

The New Amsterdam opened in 1903 and carries New York City landmark status. Art Nouveau plasterwork covers the proscenium arch and the fronts of the boxes, in vines, fruit, peacocks and figures drawn from the stage. Downstairs the lounge runs on glazed columns under painted panels.

Aladdin opened on this stage on March 20, 2014 and has not left it, and by the production's own count the run passed 4,092 performances in August 2025. Theatre tours are suspended at present, which leaves a performance ticket as the way inside. Arriving with time to spare turns the lobby levels into part of the evening.

Getting the Ticket Into Your Hand

After booking, the supplier makes contact with pickup details. Tickets change hands beside the box office on the day of the performance, at times at the window itself. Coordination runs over messages, and a reachable phone number or email address is part of the booking.

Plan to be there at least fifteen minutes before the show starts. The box office at Broadway and 42nd Street runs Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Late arrivals are seated at the discretion of house management. All sales on this listing are final.

Who Should Book It This Way

One booking covers two people at most. A group of four needs two bookings, and with seats drawn at random there is no promise the two pairs land near each other.

Disney recommends the show for guests aged 6 and up, and every guest needs a ticket whatever their age. Anyone under 14 has to enter with someone 14 or older. Theatrical smoke, fog, pyrotechnics, strobe lighting and loud sound all run during the performance. Closed captions, assistive listening handhelds and English audio description are free at every performance, collected from a kiosk in the main lobby against a photo ID.

The pin marks the New Amsterdam at 214 West 42nd Street, where the ticket changes hands and where the show plays. Evening curtains sit at 7:00 PM midweek and 7:30 PM on Saturday, with matinees in the early afternoon, and the calendar moves week to week.

A 7:00 PM weeknight performance puts you back on 42nd Street around 9:30 PM, with Ninth Avenue a few blocks west for a late table.
