ABT's Final Fall Week at Lincoln Center: Which Night to Pick

ABT's fall run ends three ways: Tuesday's last modern-classical bill, Ashton's The Dream, and a Halloween night.

Pick one ABT night before it ends.

🩰 Oct 27, Fresh Visions' Final Night

🎭 Modern Meets Classical on Oct 27

Tuesday, October 27 at 7:30 PM is the fourth and final performance of Fresh Visions and Timeless Classics, which first played October 21, 22 and 25. It closes that program rather than opening the season. Kylián's Petite Mort puts bare-shouldered dancers and fencing foils on a near-black stage to slow Mozart, and the night ends on Paquita's white tutus and crisp classical solos. Book this one for the sharpest modern-to-classical contrast of the week. The code ABTDATE gives two tickets for the price of one on this show, subject to availability.

📖 A Midsummer Story, Oct 28 to 31

From Wednesday the bill changes to a program that ends with Frederick Ashton's The Dream, a moonlit Midsummer Night's Dream with fairies on pointe, squabbling lovers and Bottom in a donkey's head. It plays October 28 and 30 at 7:30 PM and October 31 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. This is the pick for a story you can follow without the program. ABTDATE covers October 30 and the October 31 evening show only. Online, the cheapest seats showed $40 plus a $12 fee per ticket as of October 23, and prices and remaining seats can change.

🎃 Halloween Night, Gala and Rush

The October 31 show at 7:30 PM adds ABT's Halloween Costume Contest at intermission, and a regular performance ticket covers entry with no contest ticket to buy. The 2:00 PM matinee has no contest. Thursday, October 29 is the Fall Gala, a benefit sold apart from the regular run, with performance-only seats from $60 before fees and dinner tickets through ABT, and ABTDATE does not apply. Rush seats cost $35, or $20 to $30 for students with ID, plus fees, sold at the box office on show day from noon, or 10:00 AM for the matinee, two per purchase while they last. The theater is at 20 Lincoln Center Plaza, five minutes from the 1 train at 66 St–Lincoln Center.
