A Vineyard Picnic Lunch, Then Two More Santa Ynez Wineries
Tasting fees and lunch are already in the price, and the ride starts and ends at a Santa Ynez Valley hotel.
Grapeline runs this as a shared day in the Santa Ynez Valley, the wine country inland from Santa Barbara. One booking covers tasting fees at three wineries, a picnic lunch with bottled water, and the ride from your hotel in Solvang, Buellton, Los Olivos or Santa Ynez.
The host decides which three wineries you visit, on the day. The listing prints nineteen candidates across the three stops, and the operator's own page says it sets each day's route around expected crowds and what each winery is offering.

The listing books five hours. Hotel pickups start about half an hour before the tour begins, and the first winery comes at around 11:00 AM.

The three stops are not the same length. The first runs two hours and is where lunch is served, with vineyard views when the weather allows. The second and third run ninety minutes each.
The listing sorts its candidates by stop. Lunch might be at Andrew Murray Vineyards or Koehler Winery. The middle stop is pitched as a winery with deep roots, and its list includes Firestone, Fess Parker and Lincourt. Foley Estate is printed there too, though its own site lists its tastings as weekend pop-ups at Lincourt during wine club pick-up windows. The last stop draws from a mix that includes Vega Vineyard and Farm, Beckmen and Lafond.
Two riders in June 2026 both name Brick Barn, which is not on the listing at all. Read the printed names as a sample of the range. For a fixed list of wineries, the operator points guests to its private tours.
Tastings and Lunch Are Paid, the Tip Is Not

Tasting fees at all three wineries are part of the booking, along with a picnic lunch chosen from several options and bottled water. On its own page for its Santa Barbara picnic tour, the operator says the boxed lunches come from Whiskey 'N Rye with dessert, picked at checkout from a list of sandwiches and salads, and that vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free requests can usually be handled when raised at booking.
Pours are small and add up. The operator puts a typical tasting at four to six one-ounce pours per winery.
Gratuities are the one item the listing leaves out. The operator calls tipping discretionary, says it typically runs about 20 percent per person, and lists cash for tips on its packing list. Bottles bought along the way are extra, and the host stows them in the vehicle between stops.
Pickup Covers the Valley Towns, Not Santa Barbara
Pickup and drop-off run from hotels in Solvang, Buellton, Los Olivos and Santa Ynez. The pickup list names 26 properties, from the Landsby and the Corque in Solvang to the Ballard Inn and the Chumash Casino Resort. Guests staying somewhere else can request a spot, and the operator either confirms it or suggests another meeting point.
Hotels in the city of Santa Barbara are outside this option. The listing puts the city 40 to 60 minutes away and asks guests staying there to drive to the valley for pickup or book the separate version of the tour that starts from Santa Barbara.
Pickup times are approximate and get confirmed closer to the date, based on where you are staying.
Two Adults Minimum, 21 and Over
Every traveler has to be 21 or older, and ID sits first on the operator's packing list. The booking form sells adult seats only, two to eight per booking, with Wednesdays capped at four. A request for one traveler is rejected.
The price follows the weekday. Tuesday through Thursday cost the least, from USD 169 a person, and Saturday costs the most. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund; inside 24 hours, nothing comes back. The operator can also cancel a date that does not fill. Its direct bookings run a stricter 48-hour rule, but this booking follows the 24-hour terms.
As of October 13, 2026, the calendar showed some October dates sold out beside open ones, and Thanksgiving and Christmas Day not running.
📍 There is no single meeting point. The vehicle collects guests at their valley hotels about 30 minutes before the tour starts and brings them back around 4:30 PM, by the operator's estimate.
Bring ID, cash for the tip and a water bottle. By the drive home you have three tastings and a picnic behind you, and any bottles you bought ride back with you.
