A Tiny Japanese Inspired Bar Behind a Hair Salon

Slip through an abandoned looking marble shop on Eldridge Street for natural wine and a spicy cocktail.

Find the doorway to StEight.

🎶 Vinyl at a Hidden Door

Start on Eldridge Street and look for the door to the left of Kuniya Hair. Walk through what looks like an abandoned marble shop, and StEight opens up beyond it, a low lit hideaway with just over a dozen seats. The entrance gives the night a little mystery, and the tiny scale keeps every conversation close.

Inside, natural wines, sake cocktails, beer, and craft cocktails fill the list, including a spicy cocktail for anyone who likes a little heat. Jazz on vinyl sets the pace, and the energy stays cozy and laid back, an easy fit for a date night or a quiet catch up with one friend.

Doors open at 5 PM every day. Sunday through Thursday the room closes at midnight, while Friday and Saturday run until 1 AM for a later finish. Arrive early in the evening for the surest shot at one of those few seats, then let the records carry the rest of the night.
