A Red Brick Plaza Links Water and Pearl Streets

Pause among birch trees and water walls, then settle into a movable chair in Lower Manhattan.

Take a break between streets.

🧱 A Public Place to Pause

Water Street on one side, Pearl Street on the other. At 75 Wall Street Public Plaza, the space between them becomes an outdoor pause, with red brick, birch trees and water walls replacing another stretch of sidewalk. Take a seat in one of the movable chairs, or follow the corridor through the block when your walk needs a change of scene.

There is more to explore around the edges. A 360 degree arcade wraps the building, while planters filled with colorful annuals bring another layer of planting to the outdoor space. Pools run along the southwest edge. Seating built into granite slab ledges gives you another place to stop, and an access ramp provides entry.

You can leave the clock out of this detour. The plaza is open 24 hours daily, with free public entry. Make it a short stop between streets or spend longer with the water features before continuing through Lower Manhattan.
