A Quiet Bayside Park With Paths to the Water
Wander beneath a tree canopy, circle the grounds by bike, and reach the bay area in Queens.
🌿 Under A Tree Canopy
John Golden Park opens into an uncrowded corner of Queens, where natural soil paths run beneath a canopy of trees. The green space feels quiet and wide open, with room to walk and linger. One route crosses the highway to the bay area, adding a waterside turn to a park day.
Bring a bike for the road that circles the grounds, or make the loop on foot and pause at one of the gazebos. A picnic area and playground add an easy stop between walks, while baseball, basketball, and tennis fields give the open ground a more active edge. A casual wander can sit alongside a ball game or a long afternoon outside without the space feeling crowded.
The park sits along the Cross Island Parkway at 215th Place, between 31st Road and 33rd Avenue, and entry is free. It stays open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM, leaving time for an early walk, a picnic, or a lap on two wheels.
