A Miami Beach Sound Bath, Cocooned in a Hammock

A sixty-minute sound bath at RF Studios Miami, lying in a suspended fabric hammock while crystal bowls, chimes and tuning forks play.

Every guest gets a fabric hammock hung from the ceiling of RF Studios Miami, an aerial studio on West Avenue, and spends the hour lying in it while a sound healer plays crystal singing bowls, chimes and tuning forks. The listing describes the hammock as holding the body in a cocoon-like position, and each guest is helped in.

The hour opens with a few minutes of breathwork, moves into the sound, and closes with gentle cues and calming music. No prior experience is needed, and all equipment is provided.

Booking closes an hour before the start time and confirms instantly. Teens aged 14 to 17 book at a lower price than adults, and each booking needs at least one adult. All sales are final, with no refund for a cancellation.

Crystal Bowls, Chimes and Tuning Forks Over the Hammocks

The listing says a certified sound healer leads the session, and that guests stay in their hammocks, swaying gently, through the sound journey. The studio asks for phones on silent, and its FAQ allows personal photos and video only in the last 15 minutes of a class.

A traveler who went in February 2026 noted that hammocks near the entrance vestibule pick up traffic noise from the doors. The same traveler found the room chilly and suggests bringing a small blanket. Some of the studio's own descriptions of its hammock sound classes also encourage bringing an eye mask or a small blanket.

Suite B in Southgate Towers, on West Avenue

RF Studios Miami is in Southgate Towers at 910 West Avenue, Suite B, near 10th Street. You check in at the front desk, and staff walk you to your hammock.

The studio's FAQ points drivers to metered parking along West Avenue, or to the garage at 10th Street and Alton Road, across from Whole Foods. The studio's own class-booking page adds one more instruction: do not park on site. The Shoppes at West Avenue, which lists Southgate Towers as directly across the street, says its garage has more than 600 spaces for hourly or monthly parking, paid on arrival by QR code or in the ParkingPayments.com app.

Without a car, the city's free South Beach trolley stops on Alton Road at 10th Street, a block east, running 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily about every 20 minutes. The FAQ recommends arriving 10 to 15 minutes early, partly to allow for traffic and parking.

The Door Locks at the Start Time

RF Studios runs on the clock. Its FAQ says doors lock promptly at the scheduled class time, and late arrivals are not let in and are marked as a no-show. By the FAQ's rule, a late arrival forfeits the session.

Grip socks are mandatory; bring your own or buy a pair in the studio. The FAQ's packing list is a water bottle, grip socks, a bath towel and a photo ID. For aerial classes it recommends athletic wear and warns against baggy clothing.

Who Can Book, and When It Runs

The booking form takes ages 14 to 70, and one booking takes up to thirteen travelers. Sessions are offered in English or Spanish.

As of October 17, 2026, the booking calendar shows sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:00 PM, Saturdays at 11:15 AM and Sundays at 3:00 PM. The listing rates it suitable for all fitness levels and says each guest is helped into the hammock. The studio's website, FAQ included, gives no weight limit and no health restrictions for the hammocks. With sales final, check with the studio before paying if you have mobility limits or a health concern. Pets stay home; the studio admits service animals only.

Come in comfortable clothes with grip socks, a towel and a water bottle, and check in early. The session ends slowly, with gentle cues and calming music bringing you back before some light movement and a moment for reflection.
