A Lore Supreme by Christopher Joshua Benton at Faena Beach

Christopher Joshua Benton's site-specific, kinetic mirrored sphere is partially embedded in the sand on Faena Beach, towering twenty-seven feet high and expanding forty-four feet across. Featuring over 7,000 mirrored facets that move with the wind, the sculpture reimagines geography to reflect countries contributing to Miami's cultural landscape, with central connections to Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The installation transforms between sculpture, public plaza, and concert venue throughout the day, serving as a temporary gathering and performance space that hosts an exclusive headline concert by Major Lazer during Miami Art Week.
