A Long Park Lunch With a Concrete Skate Bowl
Pack a picnic for an unhurried Orlando lunch, with play areas and a dedicated skate park in the same outing.
🍱 Lunch With Room to Spare
Give lunch more room than a restaurant table. At Deputy Brandon Coates Community Park, 27.2 acres hold open picnic pavilions, play areas for children and a dedicated skate park. Pack something to eat and make the meal the middle of an Orlando afternoon, with time on either side for the park.
The concrete bowl brings curved walls and open sky to the skating area. Over at the pavilion, shelter is available on a first come, first served basis. Keep that detail in mind before building a group lunch around a covered spot.
Wider park rentals require at least 45 days for scheduling and payment processing, a different commitment from a casual picnic. The park opens daily at 8 AM and closes at 8 PM in summer or 6 PM in winter. Head to 3815 Substation Road with lunch packed, then leave time for the play areas or the skate park before heading home.
