There Are Two Muscle Beaches, and You See Both

The listed route takes in both of them. Original Muscle Beach sits beside Santa Monica Pier, and its Venice namesake is farther south, where the listing's note says Arnold Schwarzenegger worked out in the 1970s and 1980s. Venice gets a five-minute stop, with athletes still using the outdoor gym.

The Venice Skatepark gets another five minutes, long enough to watch skaters doing tricks while the guide covers the history. Original Muscle Beach and the Venice Beach Boardwalk are pass-bys, seen from the seat.

The Longest Stop Is Twenty Minutes Near Third Street

The longest block on the listing is twenty minutes, around Third Street Promenade and a ride through Palisades Park. Its note covers the promenade's shops, restaurants and street performers, then the beach side of the pier, the carousel, and a look at the Pacific Park roller coaster and Ferris wheel.

The Santa Monica Pier stop is five minutes, for a photo under the Santa Monica Pier sign. Across the six listed stops, two are pass-bys, three last five minutes and one lasts twenty.

Two Seats, a Curbside Step and Room for a Small Pet

Each rickshaw takes two riders. The listing's own notes say small pets are welcome, and that the rickshaw has a step and can load at the curb for riders with limited mobility.

Small children are welcome but may carry an additional fee, and the listing does not publish the amount. Name any child in the special requirements field on the booking form, next to the pickup point it also asks for. Guides are listed in English and Spanish.
