Home to roughly 120 residents, this lakeside settlement is rooted in the belief that spirits dwell in all things. Lined with wooden buildings and traditional carvings, the village brings Ainu culture forward through small cottage museums and craft shops run by local makers. Beyond browsing woodwork and tasting regional recipes, visitors can join hands-on cultural activities and catch scheduled traditional dance performances.
