A French Quarter Ghost Walk With a Story Told Indoors
Licensed guides walk the French Quarter after dark, with a hotel courtyard, a bar stop and a seated story inside on Orleans Street.
New Orleans Ghost Adventures runs this walk twice a night from the corner of Decatur and St. Peter. The operator promises no costumes and nobody jumping out at you, and one of the stories is told sitting down inside a building.

Walks leave at 5:00 and 8:00 PM every night, and the card below books a seat on the shared group walk.

The listing builds this walk around one indoor stop, about ten minutes inside a private building on Orleans Street that it calls haunted. Travelers in 2026 describe a darkened dining room with LED candles on the table and black lights, where the group sits while the guide tells a story. Two of them said the story they heard there was about voodoo. Expect one seated story in a room arranged for the group.
Two travelers, in October 2025 and July 2026, said the room had no air conditioning. Three travelers between April and September 2026 wrote that their group never went inside at all.
Place d'Armes, Lafitte's and LaLaurie

Past Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral, the listed route has two more stops with time on the clock: about 15 minutes in the courtyard of the Place d'Armes Hotel on St. Ann Street, and 10 minutes at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar on Bourbon Street, where drinks are on you. The LaLaurie Mansion on Royal Street is a photo stop from the sidewalk, and the walk passes the Old Ursuline Convent, which the listing calls the place New Orleans vampire folklore began.
The listing says routes change for parades, road closures and second lines, and travelers in March and July 2026 said their group skipped the courtyard, the bar or both. Travelers describe most stories being told from the sidewalk across the street from each building.
History First, Scares Second
The listing says this is not about theatrics and that its stories have been checked against historical research. On its own site the operator adds that nobody wears a costume or jumps out, and that its city-licensed guides may be teachers, historians or students. Several travelers in 2026 called it more history lesson than ghost hunt. Book it for the history.
The listing sells up to 28 seats on a shared departure, and one July 2026 traveler counted at least 20 people in her group. Two travelers in May 2026 said busy streets and traffic made the guide hard to hear at times. Stand close.
Ages, Access and the Refund Window
On this listing the child ticket covers ages 7 to 12, everyone 13 and up books at the adult rate, there is no ticket for children under 7, and an adult has to make the booking. The operator's own booking page splits ages differently, at 6 to 17; for a seat booked here, the listing's bands are the ones that count. Neither source says what children do during the bar stop.
The listing marks the walk wheelchair and stroller accessible and suitable for all fitness levels, and in the same list says it is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. The operator's own pages say nothing about access. Plan on two hours on your feet. It runs in all weather. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund; inside 24 hours, nothing comes back.
📍 Meet at Bon's New Orleans Street Food, 620 Decatur Street, next door to Landry's Seafood at the corner of Decatur and St. Peter, across the street from Jackson Square. Walking down Decatur from Canal Street, look for Landry's. The operator says Bon's is around the corner behind a tan and red booth, and that is where you check in. The operator asks guests to arrive 30 minutes before tour time.
It is sold as two hours, and the operator's site lists 5 to 7 PM and 8 to 10 PM. The listing names the same corner as the end point, though one July 2026 traveler's walk ended at the indoor stop, with the guide pointing the way back to Jackson Square. Drinks, tips and parking are on you. As of October 21, 2026, both Halloween night departures, on a Saturday, still show seats on the calendar. Get to the booth by the half hour and the group gathers with Jackson Square across the street.
