🌷 Tulips and Birds in Forest Hills

MacDonald Park is a compact Forest Hills park on Queens Blvd, with lawns, a playground, and plenty of seating. The fairly small strip honors Captain Gerald MacDonald, a World War I veteran and former Forest Hills resident. Shady benches and stroller friendly paths make it a popular stop for quick lunch breaks. The trees draw residents for birdwatching and spotting squirrels, with the occasional red winged blackbird in view. Spring tulip gardens add color around the lawns, and the park welcomes dogs as well as kids. Hours run from 6 AM to 10 PM every day of the week.
