A First Ballroom Lesson Calls for a Toast

A first ballroom lesson in Manhattan calls for a toast: a beginner dance class followed by a table to mark the attempt.

Take the lesson, then toast.

A First Ballroom Lesson in Manhattan

Choose the lesson format that suits your company at Big Apple Ballroom. The studio offers individual, couple, and group classes for beginners and experienced dancers. Instruction focuses on building confidence and improving technique across ballroom, swing, and Latin dance. Its Union Square location is on the fifth floor of 78 5th Ave. Weekend hours end at 6:00 PM. Check class availability before choosing a session and planning drinks afterward.

A Table and a Toast After Class

A glass of wine or a cocktail at Bar Six can follow your ballroom lesson. The restaurant is at 502 6th Ave. A drink can be the final stop, or dinner can extend the outing. The kitchen pairs classic French bistro fare with Moroccan influences, including tagines and couscous. The setting is lively. Friday and Saturday hours end at midnight. Sunday through Thursday closing time is 11:30 PM.

Effort on the Floor, Reward at the Table

Putting Big Apple Ballroom first keeps the focus on movement before you settle into a lively dining room at Bar Six. You can work on swing, Latin, or ballroom technique in an individual, couple, or group session on 78 5th Ave. Afterward, 502 6th Ave awaits with cocktails, wine, and French bistro dishes accented by Moroccan flavors. Even after a Tuesday through Friday class ending at 9:00 PM, kitchen hours continue past 11:00 PM.
