A Cornish Pasty and a Margarita in Old Town Scottsdale

A three-hour tasting walk through Old Town Scottsdale: craft pizza, a pasty, tacos with a frozen margarita, gelato and tea.

Pair a Cornish pasty with a margarita in Old Town.

Taste It Tours runs this walk through Old Town Scottsdale, the stretch of downtown the tour calls the West's Most Western Town. A guide leads the group on foot between a handful of local restaurants and shops, with Old Town history and stories filling the walks in between.

The operator warns that the portions are large and asks guests not to eat a full meal beforehand. Drinks are part of the price for anyone 21 and up.

This listing starts at 11:00 AM every day and adds a 2:00 PM departure on Saturdays, and the walk runs about three hours. The booking covers the food tastings and the alcoholic drinks. The guide's tip is extra. One booking takes up to seven travelers, and the operator's own reservation system holds a departure to fifteen guests.

Pizza, a Pasty, Tacos and a Macaron

The stops on the operator's current list are Craft 64, where the group samples two kinds of pizza made from scratch; Cornish Pasty Co., for the meat-and-vegetable pastry the listing says was first made for miners; Cien Agaves Tacos and Tequilas, for a taco with chips, salsa and a frozen margarita; Red Canyon Cafe for gelato; Ruze Cake House, where each guest picks one French macaron; and The Spice & Tea Exchange, which hand-mixes more than 85 spice blends in house.

On Sunday and Monday departures the listing swaps Ruze for Arcadia Farms Café, and the operator lists Ruze as closed Sunday through Tuesday, so Wednesday through Saturday is when both put the macaron stop on the route. The operator also says restaurants and routes can change without notice when Old Town has events.

Old Town Between the Tables

Between stops the guide covers Old Town history, and the operator describes the Old Town it walks through as full of galleries, shops and a Western saloon. It puts the walking at one to one and a half miles on its tour page and up to two miles in its booking notes, at a moderate pace with some stairs.

Expect sun on the first stretch. The operator says guides look for shade, asks guests to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water, and runs tours rain or shine without handing out umbrellas. One guest writing in January 2026 liked that "our drink orders were taken before we arrived at each location," so each table was ready when the group walked in.

Who the Ticket Covers

The operator does not take children under 11, and the listing rules out strollers and babies. This listing goes further: its only ticket is an adult ticket for ages 16 to 99, so anyone younger than 16 has no ticket type here.

Alcohol is poured only for guests 21 and up, the operator suggests bringing a driver's license if you plan to drink, and there are no substitutes for the alcohol samples. A vegetarian version is available if you ask when booking. The listing says the tour cannot handle vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, keto or FODMAP diets. It is not wheelchair accessible, which the listing puts down to reserved seating at high-top tables. The listing allows service animals, and the operator runs its tours in English only.

What the Price Leaves Out

The guide's tip is not included, and both the listing and the operator put the customary amount at 15 to 20 percent. The listing describes the price as covering everything with no drink add-ons, but the operator's own tour page lists soft drinks as not included, and a guest in January 2026 wrote that an iced tea ordered on the tour cost extra. For anything beyond the tastings, the operator suggests bringing a form of payment.

The operator needs six guests to run a departure, and a booking can still be called off after confirmation if a date falls short. The listing says you would then be offered another date or a full refund, and the operator says it makes contact at least 12 hours ahead. Cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund through this listing.

📍 Meet outside the Scottsdale Museum of the West, which now goes by Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West, at 3830 N Marshall Way, at the corner of Marshall Way and First Street. Look for a guide in a FOOD TOUR GUIDE T-shirt, and arrive five minutes early to check in; the operator says the guide may set off without anyone more than five minutes late, with no credit for missed stops.

The museum says free parking is in the city's underground garage, reached from the driveway just south of Main Street on the north side of the museum building. The operator also points to free three-hour street parking along First Street, which is tight for a three-hour walk. Come hungry, and leave the next meal off the schedule.
