A Columned Little Havana Landmark For Cuban Performances

Cuban theater, concerts, and ballet fill a columned Little Havana stage that anchors performing arts in the neighborhood.

Catch a Cuban performance at Manuel Artime.

🎭 Inside the columned house

The Manuel Artime Theater is a performing arts house in Little Havana, set behind a row of white columns and a steeple that reads more like a chapel than a stage door. Inside, a proscenium stage faces a balconied auditorium built for Spanish-language theater, Latin concerts, and dance.

Programming leans Cuban and Latin American, spanning zarzuela and drama troupes, salsa and bolero bills, and youth ballet recitals staged against painted palace backdrops. The house turns intimate once the balcony fills and a band takes the boards under a red wash, and the sound carries to the mezzanine without thinning at the front rows.

The theater stands at 900 SW 1st Street, a short walk from the cafes and cigar windows of Calle Ocho. Individual show listings handle tickets rather than a single season pass, and the columned entrance makes an easy landmark for anyone crossing Little Havana after dark.
