The route is sold in three lengths. Each is private to your group, and every length needs a minimum of two travelers.

Stops mean getting out of the cab, not slowing down for a photo from the seat. The operator is explicit that this is a guided tour with designated stops where guests leave the pedicab, spend time, and take pictures, and that the guide gives commentary at each one.
The park as a film set
Guides lean on the movie angle and the park carries it. Wollman Rink and Gapstow Bridge both stood in for New York in Home Alone 2. The Bethesda Terrace arcade has appeared in Gossip Girl, Elf and Spider-Man. The model-boat pond at Conservatory Water is where Stuart Little sailed. The Balto statue, cast in 1925 for the sled dog, sits on the east side near the zoo.
Strawberry Fields is the west-side stop on every length of the route. The Dakota stands directly across 72nd Street from it, which is why the two tend to be narrated together.
Weather, blankets, and who it suits
The cab is open at the sides with a canopy overhead, and the tour runs year-round. In cold weather the operator supplies a blanket, and taxes and fees are already in the fare. Gratuities and hotel pickup are not.
