🎨 A Place For Young Makers

ELM Foundation brings a community approach to contemporary art at 191 N 14th Street in Brooklyn. The Boiler, its gallery, anchors the exhibition program inside a space that also makes room for creative education, which gives an art outing more than the show alone to consider.

Youth programs teach deejaying, photography, and stop motion animation. Working with sound, a camera, or animation offers distinct ways for young people to build skills, with hands on learning central to the experience. The range is specific enough to help a child identify an interest before committing to a workshop.

This Brooklyn community art space also runs classes and arts therapy alongside the exhibitions. Check what is hanging in The Boiler before you go, then ask which programs have room for a new face.
