Shepherd of the Hills Expressway is lined with Branson theatres, and this one is inside a movie complex. The Little Opry Theatre sits in the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex at 3562 Shepherd of the Hills Expy. The band's own directions are to come through the main entrance and walk to the back right corner. The family puts the room at around 200 seats. Small rooms fill, and the seating here is settled at a counter rather than at checkout.

The booked performance starts at 2:00 PM and runs 105 minutes. Through October 31 the calendar offers Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. From November 1 through January 2 it shifts to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Who Is On Stage and What They Play

The lineup is four Petersen siblings, their mother Karen, and Emmett Franz on dobro. Katie leads the music and plays fiddle. Ellen plays banjo and runs the family's marketing and YouTube output. Matt plays guitar and handles bookings and the technical side of the Branson show. Julianne has been on mandolin full time since 2017, having started on fiddle and clogging when the band formed in 2005. Emmett arrived by messaging the band's Facebook page in January 2017 to ask whether they needed a dobro player. The set moves between bluegrass, classic country, gospel, the YouTube songs and the family's own writing.

The Ozarks Act That Found Its Audience Online

The family says its videos went viral in 2019 and that the channel has since passed 300 million views. That audience travels. Their press material lists tours through Ireland, Finland, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Branson remains the home room, and the road schedule is built around the weeks they are in it.

Your Voucher Is Not Your Seat

Booking produces a voucher, and the seat assignment happens separately at the theatre. The listing asks you to bring a printed copy of the voucher and photo ID to the box office and trade it for tickets. That exchange can happen any time between buying and the start of the show. Doing it early is what gets you a better seat, because the good ones go as people arrive. The box office is inside the same complex, before you reach the theatre doors.

What a Seat Costs and What It Covers

Admission to the Little Opry Theatre is what the booking includes. Food and drink are sold separately on site. Pricing is set by age band and it moves with the season. Through October 31 anyone 13 and over books at USD 47.50, children 3 to 12 at USD 18, and under-threes at no charge. From November 1 the 13-and-over band rises to USD 50.75 while the children's band holds at USD 18. A single booking takes up to nineteen people and at least one of them has to be an adult. Cancelling more than twenty-four hours ahead returns the full amount.

The address is 3562 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, and the theatre is at the back right of the complex once you are through the main doors. The family stays out front after the last song to talk with the audience and take pictures, so the afternoon tends to run longer than the 105 minutes on paper. A two o'clock curtain still leaves the evening to you.
