A Biscayne Bay sunset cruise where the bar stays open

A shared two-hour cruise that leaves Bayside at golden hour and comes back under a lit downtown skyline.

Miami Aqua Tours runs this one as a two-hour loop out of Bayside Marketplace, timed so the light does the changing. The boat pulls out while the bay is still gold, rounds the residential islands, and comes back with downtown lit behind it. Seats are sold individually, and the upper terrace is open air, which is where most of the two hours end up being spent.

The listing holds 4.9 out of 5 across more than 680 reviews on Viator, and that rating sits on the operation, not on any single ticket. A DJ handles the music and drops narration between landmarks. The one thing that genuinely changes between bookings is the drink package, and it is chosen at checkout.

The boat and the terrace

The cabin runs to raffia columns, blue banquettes and small marble tables, closer to a lounge than to a sightseeing shuttle. Both open-bar tickets are sold as open-terrace seating, which leaves the cabin as shelter and the terrace as the main room. There is a restroom on board, and a bilingual guide works the route in English and Spanish.

What the loop passes at dusk

The loop stays inside Biscayne Bay and runs close to Star Island, where the waterfront houses turn their lawns toward the channel. Downtown fills the opposite side, and the causeway lights come on across the water partway through. On the way back, the Bayside Ferris wheel marks the dock from a long way out, lit well before the boat ties up.

Choosing a drink package

Standard and Premium both pour wine, beer, tinto de verano and champagne for the full two hours, and Premium adds vodka, whiskey, gin and rum. Water and sodas come only with Premium, so the standard bar is alcohol-only across two hours on an open-air deck. The Champagne Experience is a separate ticket that does not include the open bar. Dinner, snacks, parking, gratuity and photos are extra.

Where you board at Bayside

📍 The meeting point sits inside Bayside Marketplace at 401 Biscayne Blvd. Head toward the Ferris wheel across from Hard Rock Cafe, take the stairs down to dock level, and join the line in front of Landshark Bar & Grill. A crew member works the line about 15 minutes before departure to check guests in and hand over a physical ticket.

Arrive at least 30 minutes early and hold your place in the line. Late arrivals can miss the departure, and those tickets are not refundable. Parking at Bayside is paid and billed separately. Adults book from 21 to 99 and children from 5 to 20. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time returns a full refund.
