🖼️ NMWA Nights, November 18
🎨 Women in sculpture
November 18 is the sculpture edition of NMWA Nights. The night is built around the Beverly Pepper exhibition, Land Art and Monumental Sculptures, which opened October 23, and ten of Pepper's monumental works stand outside along the New York Avenue Sculpture Corridor. Inside, an interactive design workshop collects visitor ideas for the Women's Suffrage National Monument, and an art collaboration with fiber artist Tyler Sanville runs through the evening. Sculpture from the museum's own collection stays on view the same night.
🥂 The order of the night
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the galleries, the sculpture corridor and the art-making spaces stay open until 8. Head for the Pepper exhibition and the corridor first, then the workshop and the art-making tables. Two drink vouchers are part of the ticket; extra drinks and food are sold separately at the bar. The evening ends at 8, which leaves time for a drink nearby.
