A 2022 Stadium Rose On San Diego's Qualcomm Site

Aztecs football, San Diego FC, and concerts fill a 35,000-seat bowl that opened in Mission Valley in 2022.

🏟️ Game day in Mission Valley

Snapdragon Stadium is a 35,000-seat bowl in Mission Valley, San Diego, that opened in 2022 on the ground where Qualcomm Stadium stood for decades. The playing surface carries the name Bashor Field, and the open design keeps sightlines close to the action.

The stadium anchors San Diego State Aztecs football in the fall, and it now hosts San Diego FC of Major League Soccer along with rugby and touring concerts. On event days the Green Line trolley drops fans a short walk from the gates, and car-free arrival stays simple.

Compared with the concrete ring it replaced, the current bowl sits lower and tighter, with wide concourses and views toward the Mission Valley hills. Crowds gather early around the plaza, and the surrounding SDSU Mission Valley district keeps adding housing and open space.
