120+ Retro Arcade Games, Unlimited Play for $6–$12 in Portland
On Free Play days, $6 before 5 PM or $12 after unlocks unlimited credits on every cabinet and pinball machine in Old Town.
🕹️ One Cover, No Quarters
Ground Kontrol fills an Old Town room with more than 120 classic arcade games and pinball machines: Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Street Fighter II Turbo, and tables like Twilight Zone and Theatre of Magic. Free Play still costs a cover. On the second Thursday and last Wednesday of each month, you pay $6 from noon to 5 PM, all ages, or $12 after 5 PM, 21+ only, then every machine runs on unlimited credits. Confirm the date on the events calendar before you go. The $6 rate also applies Tuesdays with an OLCC, DPSST, or food handlers card, and Thursdays with a student ID or foreign passport. Other days you pay per game, plus a $4 cover after 7 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Bring a friend for a Street Fighter rematch or chase a Galaga high score. Arrive by 11 PM.
