$10 Gets You a Friday Night in the Norton's Garden
Art After Dark turns the Norton into a wellness night with chair yoga, a butoh workshop, docent tours, and a curator talk.
🎭 One Friday, Six Programs
🧘 Inside the Lineup
Art After Dark rotates themes every Friday, and this week brings a one-night Wellness Night pairing gentle movement with the Norton galleries. The museum stays open from 5 to 10 PM as one loose circuit. Docent tours leave the Great Hall at 5:30 and 7 PM, each capped at 25 visitors with wristbands picked up at the Membership Table an hour before. ArtSpeaks puts auction specialist Zachary Wirsum and curator Regina Palm in the Stiller Auditorium from 6 to 7 PM, Open Studio runs 6 to 9 PM, and the Goergen Garden hosts chair yoga at 6:30 and a butoh workshop at 7:45.
🌿 Rooms for Slowing Down
Chakra Challenge holds a holistic wellness session in the Korman Room from 6 to 8:30 PM. Drop in anytime between 6 and 8:30 PM for breathwork and gentle bodywork. Chair yoga in the garden takes the hour from 6:30 to 7:30 PM and keeps poses accessible for beginners and seniors. The guest butoh workshop at 7:45 PM is exclusive to this Friday, guided by Pınar Sinka through Japanese movement improvisation. Open Studio stays open across three hours with materials included, welcoming drop-ins of any age or skill level.
🎟️ Tickets, Parking, and Dinner
Admission is $10 for adults and seniors and $5 for students, with members free, and tickets work at the Reception Desk or in advance online. The museum sits at 1450 South Dixie Highway, and parking across the street at 1501 South Dixie runs $3 an hour with a three-hour cap, while members park free.
